THANK YOU to the attendees, sponsors and volunteers of the
2020 Flannel & Furs Fundraiser!
2020 Flannel & Furs Fundraiser!
The 4th annual Flannel and Furs fundraiser was held on January 29th at the Fenton Winery and Brewery in support of the LAFF Pathway Inc. A great time was had by the over 100 backers in attendance. From the pictures, you can see that the recommended attire was either the casual flannel or the fancier furs. Of course, some independent dressers chose a combination of both.
The wide variety of hors d’oeuvres and desserts catered by Crust / The Laundry were delicious and the libations served by Fenton Winery & Brewery added to the festivities. The band Driven provided the right mix of music for all ages in attendance. There were many opportunities to support the non-motorized multi-use pathway with an online silent auction, a Diamond Ring card raffle as well as bidding on many great prizes.
The best news of the evening was the announcement that Phase 1 of the pathway will begin this Summer! This section will start at Lobdell Road and Haviland Beach Drive in Argentine Township and pass through the Linden Middle and High Schools and then travels east on the north side of Silver Lake Road through Fenton Township to the City of Linden’s existing sidewalk system located at Chestnut Way. This project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2020.
LAFF has as its current focus to extend the pathway from the City of Linden along Silver Lake Road to the City of Fenton. Phase 2 would begin at Triangle Park in Linden and continue east on the south side of Silver Lake Road through Fenton Township ending at Jennings Road, where it will connect to the City of Fenton’s existing sidewalk system.
This will be an exciting year as the shovels will come out so we can “Put the Pathway on the Ground!”

The success of this year's F&F would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors.
